Taken late afternoon on 1/10/09, one day after the last rainfall and a long period of rain in the coast range. The sound at the falls and the canyon below was a wild rumbling indescribable "roar". By the next morning, Wassen Creek was ~3 inches lower and it's roar over the falls and through the canyon below it were noticeably less but still significant. The next day on a ridge a 1000 feet above the creek, the roar of the creek was still very audible!
